Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mxico is a city located in the Riviera Nayarit on Mexico's Pacific Coast. It is a vibrant and thriving metropolis that attracts millions of foreign tourists and visitors every year. In recent years, however, the city has experienced a massive growth in both business and population, making it one of the fastest growing cities in all of Mexico. Located on the Pacific coast of Mexico near Bahia Solano, the city of Universidad Nacional Autenoma de Mxico, better known as UMaco, sits proudly at the beginning of a gorgeous canal and bridge linking Mexico to the United States.
Despite its size, and popularity, UMaco still manages to retain its low-key personality. Unlike many other Mexican cities, the people of this city are not openly hostile towards visitors and foreigners. In fact, many students speak English in their homes, and many restaurants and local businesses offer English as a second language. This allows visitors to mingle with the locals while enjoying their time here. One of the most popular university campuses within the city is the College of Fine Arts and Sciences. Established in 1963, this campus houses thousands of students who pursue a variety of academic majors.
A few blocks from the college, there is another major campus, the School of International Business. Here, students can pursue a variety of degrees, and they are always in great demand. For those students who enjoy dancing, Havana Club offers dancing lessons, as well as numerous live performances.
Another popular attraction is the Virus Factory, a giant amusement park that features a vast range of rides and attractions. The majority of students spend their time enjoying the rides and games, but some enjoy checking out the creepy booths that dispense sweets and other tempting snacks. For those students who prefer a more hands-on approach, there is the Urateca Della Vota, a natural history museum which features dinosaur bones and sandstone caves. Another popular attraction in Menorca is the Santa Tecla National Park. Here, students can hike and explore some of the finest countryside in the region, while strolling along a beautiful trail.
Students can spend their days exploring the Menorca by foot. There are many walking tours available, and students can even rent bicycles for a unique excursion around the city centre. The city has a lovely selection of family friendly beaches that offer a wide variety of activities for families. The students at the University of Menorca should not miss out on the local festivals and events, which happen throughout the year.
One of the most popular celebrations is the Garifuna Arts Festival, which is celebrated in honour of the many artists of the Garifuna community in the region. This annual cultural event in the city centre features workshops, presentations, performances, traditional dances, and food talks, as well as plenty of food and drinks. Every year in May, the University of Menorca hosts the Annual Student Fair, which is open to all students from the University of Menorca and other colleges and universities throughout the island. Students can get involved in many different activities during this great fair, which also has an arts competition for students' final projects.
